What to Expect When You Visit Our Church
We would like to welcome you to our church! You are welcome to worship with us anytime you like. We trust that you will find the people of our church to be friendly and it will be a friendly environment. In addition, we have friendly greeters and guest services volunteers ready to help you feel welcome and comfortable.
What Should I Wear?
One of the most often asked questions from people who are new to church is, “What should I wear?” When you come to our church you will find a mix of dress that includes everything from suits to business casual to blue jeans and a t-shirt. You are welcome to come the way you are.
Where Are We Located?
Our church is located in Grand Junction at 550 25 1/2 Road between Patterson and Sams Club just south of the fire station and the baseball diamonds. You can click here to see our location on a map.
What Time is our Service?
We have two services each Saturday. The first starts at 8:15 and the second starts at 11am. Between service we have what we call Sabbath School. That is Bible study for all ages from the beginners class for infants to 3 years old to 5 adult classes and classes for every age between.
How Long Do the Services Last?
The early service is about 55 minutes and the late service is about 75 minutes.
What is the Style of Worship?
Our worship style can be described as a blend of traditional and contemporary. Depending on who is the worship leader that day we may sing hymns, contemporary songs, or a combination of both.
Should I Plan for Lunch?
We look forward to when we can have fellowship meals again. When we are able to have fellowship meals they will occur on the third Sabbath of each month after the 11am service. It is a great way to meet people while enjoying some good food!
Is There Anything for Children?
Yes! Here at Grand Junction Seventh-day Adventist Church we want to make sure that kids feel welcome and a part of our church. By having classes for specific ages we are able to have age appropriate topics, songs, and other activities to help them learn about Jesus. We also have from time to time the the different classes sing or share what they have learned during the 11am service. We also have wonderful children’s stories during the second worship service.
